CONFERENCE
‘The coach at the service of rural mobility‘
While metropolises and medium-sized towns today benefit from a public transport offer that is fairly well adapted to the needs of the population, so-called rural areas (70% of the territory and 37% of the population) are still largely dependent on the private car, all too often for lack of alternatives. As modal shift is one of the pillars of the energy transition applied to transport, the sector is the subject of a veritable fair of solutions. The reactivation of ‘small railway lines’, the introduction of autonomous shuttles (on rail or even road), car-sharing and the development of new coach services are all solutions that are often mentioned. Against this favourable backdrop, at a time when transport authorities are looking for solutions, what assets can the Road Passenger Transport (TRV) sector bring to bear to contribute to this revolution?

Thursday 05th December

11am - 12.30pm
CONFERENCE
'Transition: the unavoidable energy mix?'
The Green Deal approved by the European Union more or less enshrines the use of electric power as the only acceptable method of ecological transition for transport. However, the Road Passenger Transport (TRV) sector has to deal with a variety of uses which, in the current industrial context, cannot be satisfied with electric, battery-powered or hydrogen-powered vehicles alone. What pitfalls does HGV face in a purely electric transition? How is the energy mix adapted to the ecological transition? Is retrofitting really THE solution? How can this sector of activity make its specificity heard?

3pm - 4pm
CONFERENCE
‘Social and environmental responsibility: what impact on calls for tender?'
Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) has become an essential part of the tenders to which companies in the Road Passenger Transport (TRV) sector respond. What exactly are companies' obligations in this area? What steps should companies in the sector take to comply with the CSR expectations of their principals? What weight do these concepts currently carry in calls for tender? What labels are available today? What resources do companies need to mobilise? What are the future developments in CSR?
